Carrick Mór

Our name, Carrick Mór — meaning “Big Rock” in Irish — is rooted in the place where my own story began. I was born in Ireland, on the side of Slieve League in County Donegal, a great mountain rising above the Atlantic. On one side, the land falls away into some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe; on the other, it reaches into the rugged landscape of Donegal. Carrick Mór is a name that connects me to that place — to Ireland’s mountains, coastline, and the enduring sense of home they have always carried for me.

We opened in 2015 with a simple hope: to create a place where people could gather around a shared love of Ireland. We wanted more than a gift shop. We wanted a home for Irish culture—a place where beautiful craftsmanship, timeless stories, and enduring traditions could be discovered, celebrated, and passed on.

From the very beginning, we have sought out what we believe to be the finest Irish-made gifts, each one chosen with care and offered as a small reflection of the land we cherish. Yet Carrick Mór has never been only about the gifts we sell. It has always been about the far greater gift of Ireland herself—her history, her people, her faith, her music, her language, and the rich inheritance she has passed down to us.
