“Go on so” is a wonderfully flexible Irish expression. It can encourage someone to continue, accept an offer, or give someone permission to do something. Depending on the tone, it can sound welcoming, amused, reluctant, or even slightly sarcastic. Like many Irish expressions, the words alone don't tell the whole story.
