Irish Heritage
The story of Gráinne and Diarmuid is among the great love legends of Irish mythology. Gráinne, daughter of the High King Cormac mac Airt, was betrothed to the aging Fionn mac Cumhaill but fell in love with the young warrior Diarmuid instead.
The two fled together, beginning a long journey pursued by Fionn and his followers. Despite the dangers and hardships they faced, their devotion to one another became the heart of a story passed down through generations of Irish storytelling.
Their legend remains a powerful expression of love, loyalty, and the courage to follow one's heart.
